Our Town

The paint treatment of this production was inspired by wedding ring quilts and wooden floor inlays. Each ring was drawn out with pencil on a white stage, then meticulously taped out to achieve clean lines. All of the colored areas were based in a medium tone of the color, then textured using various rollers and rags. The wooden areas were painted using a variety of roller sizes and a wet on wet technique. The entire stage then received a gray wash to allow the actors and costumes to stand out. The ladders, chairs, and other props were also painted to produce a cohesive look.
