Men On Boats follows the real life expedition to map the Grand Canyon by canoeing down the Colorado River. To emulate the landscape of the American Southwest, a variety of warm tones were chosen and layered to represent the sandstone layers visible in the cliffs and rocks. All harsh lines were blended out and a spatter was laid over the entire stage to create a more organic and textured feel.
